Summing up

There is a global trend towards growing more food in stable, resilient forest-like eco-systems. Never before has it been so easy for people to understand the many and diverse benefits of this type of food production.

This hui is intended to support you to understand the approaches to food forest design, and working with community groups, private small-holding owners, or farmers looking to establish commercial food forests. Walk away from this event confident you can go out and obtain a yield from the work you undertake in this area, supported by a growing community of food forest practitioners.

Hello, I am very interested in this training, because I like to help implement this knowledge into schools and communities. Preferred course location is Dunedin , but would consider to travel to Auckland . Is there any funding for this kind of work ?

Thanks Jane, at some point soon, we’ll open up a Facebook group for people to put out their needs (eg accom) and be matched up with people who can meet them.

I am so thrilled to see this offering! I would attend if I were in New Zealand, but I am on Vashon Island, near Seattle, helping to create a compassionate communication and permaculture community on an 8 acre farm, as well as helping out the 7 acre Beacon Food Forest in Seattle. You guys rock! Holding you all dear to me, and sending energy for an event that sends food forest waves throughout New Zealand and the world. Diane

Bless you for your enthusiastic support Diane! And know that your gift of the Formidable Vegetable Sound System will be used extensively at this event to further inspire and uplift us ;-)

    Hi James,

Have any accomodation options been offered/asked for? I’d like to register but am wondering about this to keep the costs to a minimum. $230 seems ok for me if accomodation is included….
